MY STORY
My Name is Idriz Sanie
I was born in 1993 in Afghanistan.
In 1995, my family and I made the difficult decision to leave our homeland due to the ravages of war. We initially relocated to Pakistan, where we resided for a brief period of time. Subsequently, we ventured to Tajikistan, where we lived for six months.
Our quest for stability eventually led us to Russia, where we established roots and lived for a span of two and a half years. However, at the tender age of almost 7, a remarkable and arduous journey awaited me. I, along with my mother, embarked on a remarkable odyssey, walking from Moscow to Vienna. This extraordinary journey spanned a remarkable 11 months.
During this epic trek, my sister, not yet 8 months old, and my brother, at the age of 5, accompanied us. Our journey was a testament to the strength of our family bond and the lengths to which we were willing to go in pursuit of a brighter future.
Life in Vienna
In 1999, I arrived in Vienna, embarking on a significant chapter of my life.
Upon my arrival, I applied for asylum, seeking refuge in this new land. Over the years, I have integrated into Austrian society, and in 2005, I proudly became an Austrian citizen.
My educational journey was marked by determination and success. I graduated as the top student of my school, a testament to my commitment to excellence.
At the youthful age of 17, I ventured into entrepreneurship, opening my first Hookah Bar. Remarkably, by the time I turned 18, I had expanded my business to include three hookah bars. This period of my life was also marked by the birth of my daughter, Medina.
Juggling the responsibilities of fatherhood and a thriving business proved challenging, and unfortunately, I faced financial difficulties, leading to bankruptcy at the tender age of 19. Concurrently, I experienced the loss of my job and underwent a divorce from the mother of my child.
With resilience and a fresh start ahead of me, I embarked on the journey of rebuilding my life from the ground up.
Work & Degrees
I embarked on my professional journey by taking on roles as a Barkeeper and venturing into the construction industry in Austria.
During this period, I pursued my passion for insurance and diligently worked towards obtaining my insurance degree. My dedication paid off as I successfully passed all my exams and proudly earned my degree. This achievement led me to join the esteemed Ergo Insurance Company, where my career took off. I consistently excelled in my role and was recognized as the top seller multiple times in various months.
Simultaneously, I delved into the world of the automotive industry, inspired by my father's career as a car export salesman. Gradually, I managed to regain control over various aspects of my life.
However, my true calling had always been in the realm of music, and I began honing my singing skills by watching instructional videos on YouTube. Determined to follow my passion, I decided to pursue it further. Unfortunately, life threw a challenging curveball my way when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin-Lymphoma (Cancer). This diagnosis temporarily halted my singing aspirations, as I had to focus on a rigorous two-year treatment regimen to overcome this life-threatening illness.
With determination and resilience, I emerged victorious, having successfully conquered cancer and ready to resume my pursuit of a singing career.
Diverse Passions and Multilingual Skills
My journey took an unexpected turn when I delved into the world of bodybuilding.
In 2019, I boldly entered my first competition and emerged victorious in my class, securing an impressive 4th place overall. Fuelled by my aversion to defeat, I resolved to return the following year with a singular goal: to conquer every competition I entered. I succeeded in this endeavor, solidifying my position as a force to be reckoned with in the bodybuilding world.
Following that, I made the resolute decision to re-enter the competitive arena, achieving an impressive feat by clinching victory in all seven competitions I participated in throughout the year 2021. The pinnacle of my achievements came when I proudly secured the prestigious European Title in Prague, marking a significant milestone in my bodybuilding journey.
Now, as I transition back to my true passion, music, I reflect on the diverse paths I've explored. Additionally, my linguistic prowess sets me apart, as I am fluent in eight languages: Dari (Afghan), Persian (Iran), Urdu (Indian), Bosnian (Bosnia), Russian (Russia), Latin (from my time in a Latin school), German (Austria), and English (England). Furthermore, I am currently learning Greek (Greece), further expanding my ability to connect with people and cultures across the globe.
